Sutherland Pipe Band offers top tier instruction for drums and bagpipes from our instructors and fellow band members. If you are interested in learning drums (bass, snare or tenor) or bagpipes, do not hesitate to get in touch with us.

Sutherland is an inclusive organization. We seek all people interested in bagpipe music regardless of race, color, national origin, ethnic origin, age, religion, sex, handicap, marital status, or orientation.

Please feel free to visit during any of our rehearsals, or get in touch with the pipe major:

Band rehearsals are held every Thursday from 7:30 PM to 9:30PM in the upstairs events area of the AmVets Hall in Natick, Massachusetts.

Click here to find directions via Google Maps!

Be careful getting directions from a GPS! If you enter the address directly to Google maps or your GPS, you will probably find yourself at the wrong location. Please reference the below map.

From Mass Pike or Route 9, turn on to Speen Street.

Once on Speen Street, take Superior Drive east (immediate right turn if coming from MA 9, a left hand turn if you’re headed south on Speen).

Keep your eyes open for small signs along the way to guide you to the AmVets hall.

On Superior Drive, you will see the Hampton Inn on your left, MathWorks on your right, with FedEx directly ahead. Keep going on Superior Dr. You will jog to the right as you pass by the FedEx building on your left with a parking lot on your right. You will go down a narrow driveway and find the AmVets hall ahead. Walk up the ramp with red guardrails and into the upstairs event area.

Our Goals

Sutherland’s goals are to present music of the highest caliber to the public and to achieve the highest competitive standards. We have delivered on this promise since 1936.

For the 2023 season and beyond, we have a continued focus on delivering a quality musical product to our community and re-establishing our competitive band.
